COSRX Salicylic Acid Daily Gently Cleanser is a specially developed for problematic skin. The cleanser is formulated with Salicylic Acid to remove dirt and makeup, while also exfoliating dead skin cells and removing blackheads and cleaning out pores. The cleanser is very gentle, yet effective.
Salicylic acid is a BHA (Beta Hydroxy Acid) and is therefore a chemical form of exfoliating. BHAs are oil soluble. They not only work on the skin’s surface, but also penetrate deeper and unclog pores and treat blemishes. This is why BHAs are preferred for those with normal to oily and clogged skin. BHAs have natural skin-calming properties, as well as anti-inflammatory and antibacterial activities and therefore can benefit those prone to redness and rosacea.
Ingredients we love:
- Salix nigra (willow) bark extract: Naturally contains a substance that’s a relative of Salicylic acid, plus flavonoids en phenolic acids that are responsible for its soothing, antiseptic qualities.
- Betaine: An amino acid derived from sugar beets. It has skin protecting, moisturizing properties, and has a positive effect on the cell-water balance in the skin.
Directions
- Apply 1-2 pumps with clean hands to wet face and neck.
- Gently massage into the skin.
- Rinse off with lukewarm water and pat dry with a soft, clean towel.
