Following the controversy surrounding the Purito Centella Unscented Sunscreen, we temporarily halted the sales of all Purito sunscreens. However, we’ve understood that there is still a demand for Purito sunscreens despite their rating not meeting SPF 50.

From an environmental perspective, we feel uncomfortable disposing of a large stock of unused, perfectly usable sunscreens. That’s why we’ve decided to offer our stock of Purito sunscreen at a discounted price. This accommodates the demand of our customers, and we believe it’s a more ecological approach.

We value honesty, so we want to emphasize that the true protection factor of the Purito Centella Unscented Sunscreen is somewhere in the range of SPF19 - SPF29. Investigations on the SPF factor of the Purito Centella Sunscreen and Purito Comfy Sun Block are still ongoing.

General SPF guidelines imply:

SPF 100: 99% UVB protection
SPF 50: 98% UVB protection
SPF 30: 97% UVB protection
SPF 15: 93% UVB protection

There is no sunscreen that offers full protection. Limit your exposure to the sun, and reapply your sunscreen regularly.

Recently, there has been some controversy regarding the UV-A and UV-B protection of the PURITO Centella Green Level Unscented Sun.

Several independent lab tests, both in-vivo (on actual skin) and in-vitro (in a lab), concluded that the SPF value of the PURITO Centella Green Level Unscented Sun comes down to 15.8 - 19.2, as opposed to the SPF 50 value as stated on the packaging.

At this time, the SPF and the PA rating of the Centella Green Level Unscented Sun, Centella Green Level Safe Sun and Comfy Water Sun Block by PURITO are rigorously being fact-checked by parties aside from the initial manufacturer and testing lab at PURITO.

• Centella Asiatica: A wound healing plant with anti-inflammatory qualities. Stimulates the synthesis of hyaluronic acid, hydrates skin and increases the antioxidant levels in skin.
• Tocopherol: Vitamin E. A crucial, oil soluble antioxidant in skin. Protects the skin from free radical damage and makes skin more resilient against UV rays. 
• Hyaluronic Acid: Hyaluronic acid is famous for its ability to retain up to 1000 times its own weight in water, like a sponge. It’s the most prominent molecule in our ‘extracellular matrix’, the substance that keeps our tissues firm and bouncy.

1. Apply as the final step of your skincare routine.
